Overview
The Accuracy International AXMC (AX Multi-Caliber) is a modular bolt-action sniper rifle designed as the successor to the legendary AWM platform. Its defining feature is the ability to rapidly switch between .338 Lapua Magnum, .300 Winchester Magnum, and .308 Winchester calibers through a quick-change barrel system, allowing operators to adapt to mission requirements without replacing the entire weapon system. The AXMC represents the pinnacle of Accuracy International's chassis rifle evolution, combining sub-MOA precision with battlefield-proven ruggedness across extreme environments.

Notes
The AXMC uses a 16-inch AX chassis with a KeySlot forend and folding rear stock. Barrel changes between calibers can be performed in the field without specialized tools. The rifle accepts AI CIP-pattern magazines with 10-round capacity in .308 and .300 WM, and 10-round capacity in .338 LM. The AXMC passed NATO STANAG 4694 testing and is NATO-catalogued.
Background
The AXMC was developed as the natural evolution of the AWM that made Craig Harrison's record-breaking 2,475-meter shot possible. By adding multi-caliber capability, AI allowed snipers to carry one rifle system for missions ranging from urban .308 engagements to extreme long-range .338 Lapua interdiction, fundamentally changing how military sniper teams equip for deployments.
