Overview
The Ancion-Marx 12-gauge hammer shotgun is a break-action, side-by-side double-barrel shotgun built by the Liège gunmaker Léopold Ancion-Marx. It uses a top-lever-operated break action with central-percussion, exposed external hammers, twin triggers, and back-action locks, mounted on a walnut pistol-grip stock. It is representative of the diversified sporting long-gun output of the Ancion-Marx factory in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Notes
Documented from a surviving example (serial M11474) carrying Liège proofhouse marks dating manufacture to between 1898 and 1924. Physical dimensions (barrel length, overall length, weight) are not recorded for this specimen and are left null rather than estimated.
Background
Léopold Ancion-Marx ran his arms factory on Rue Grandgagnage in Liège from 1890 into the mid-20th century, filing eleven patents and seven trademarks between 1897 and 1933 and marking his guns with an 'LAM' monogram inside a triangle.
