Also known as: MDP-9, MDP9, MDP-9 GEN2, Modular Defense Pistol 9
Overview
The Angstadt Arms MDP-9 (Modular Defense Pistol) is a roller-delayed blowback 9x19mm pistol that feeds from GLOCK double-stack magazines, representing the company's most advanced AR-platform PCC. Unlike the straight-blowback UDP-9, the MDP-9 GEN2 uses a roller-delayed action paired with a 5.85-inch chrome moly Melonite barrel and a removable three-lug muzzle device on 1/2x28 threads, delivering notably softer recoil and a lighter reciprocating mass. It features a 7075-T6 monolithic upper receiver with a continuous Picatinny top rail, a billet lower with flared magwell, a non-reciprocating ambidextrous forward charging handle, last-round bolt hold open, an Angstadt Arms EMT-9 trigger, a Radian Weapons Talon ambidextrous selector and a B5 Systems Type 23 grip. At just 3.7 pounds unloaded and 14 inches overall, the MDP-9 is exceptionally compact. It is manufactured in Charlotte, NC and offered in black Type III hard-coat anodize, Magpul FDE and Tactical Grey Cerakote, as both a braced pistol and a registered SBR.

Background
The MDP-9 brought roller-delayed operation - a system associated with the HK MP5 - to an AR-style GLOCK-magazine pistol, positioning it as Angstadt Arms' flagship modular defense platform.
