Also known as: Zoli Z-XL Evo, Zoli XL-Evo

Overview

The Zoli XL Evo is a 12-gauge over-and-under break-action competition and sporting shotgun built by Italian gunmaker Antonio Zoli of Gardone Val Trompia. It is built on a monolithic forged-steel receiver with a widened action for improved dynamic balance and a Boss-type locking bolt, and uses a detachable trigger group with titanium-coated components, self-lubricating springs and an adjustable single inertial trigger with three positions. Chambered for 76 mm (3 inch) shells, it is offered with barrels from roughly 28 to 34 inches in flat, medium or high-rib configurations, six external interchangeable chokes and a Turkish walnut stock with an oil finish. A variable-weight system with interchangeable sideplates lets shooters tune balance and appearance across finishes including blued, matte blued, silver sand, greystone and color case hardened.

Background

Antonio Zoli is one of the oldest gunmaking houses in Gardone Val Trompia, tracing its roots to the 16th century; the XL Evo widens the firm's competition action and adds a modular variable-weight system so clay shooters can retune the gun's balance without changing barrels.
