Overview

The Arex Rex Alpha is a full-size, all-steel semi-automatic competition pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum and produced by AREX Defense of Slovenia. Built on a chrome-moly steel frame and slide, it uses a modified Browning linkless locking system in which the barrel's breechblock locks into the slide's ejection port. The exposed-hammer design runs a traditional double-action/single-action trigger, and the pistol ships with a 5-inch barrel, a full-length dust cover with an integral MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail, an extended ambidextrous thumb safety, a fiber-optic front sight and an adjustable rear sight. Marketed as a ready-to-run sport and competition handgun, it accepts 17-round magazines with optional 20-round magazines available.
