Overview
The Arizmendi Zulaica Cebra is a Spanish blowback-operated, single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP). Built in Eibar by Arizmendi, Zulaica y Cia, it is a Ruby-pattern pistol produced under the wartime licensing arrangement originated by Gabilondo y Urresti, supplying inexpensive service sidearms to the French Army during World War I. The slide is marked 'Pistolet Automatique Cebra' with an 'A.Z.' oval, and the pistol features fixed sights, checkered walnut grips, and a heel-mounted magazine release.

Notes
Sources vary on magazine capacity for the Cebra (reported between 6 and 9 rounds); the 9-round figure follows the standard Eibar/Ruby-pattern magazine. Some examples were over-stamped with the Beistegui Hermanos name. The firm also produced revolvers under the Cebra trade name.
Background
During World War I the French Army, desperate for pistols, bought Ruby-pattern automatics from dozens of small Eibar workshops with almost no quality control. Arizmendi, Zulaica y Cia was one of them, selling its guns under the 'Cebra' (Spanish for zebra) trademark.
