Overview

The ATA CY is a gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun manufactured by the Turkish firearms maker ATA Silah Sanayi (ATA Arms). Chambered most commonly in 12 gauge with a 3-inch chamber (a 3.5-inch Super Magnum version is also offered), it feeds from a tubular magazine and cycles a self-regulating gas system that handles both 2.75-inch and 3-inch loads. Sold in barrel lengths of 24, 26 and 28 inches with a ventilated rib, interchangeable choke tubes and a chrome-lined bore, the CY is offered with Turkish walnut, synthetic and camouflage furniture as an affordable hunting and clay-target autoloader.

Notes

Marketed as a simple, trouble-free gas-operated autoloader. Configurations vary by market: standard 3-inch models typically carry a 4-round magazine, while 3.5-inch Super Magnum versions are advertised at 5+1. A representative Super Magnum listing shows a 28-inch barrel, 14.17-inch length of pull and roughly 7.28 lb weight; figures here reflect a typical 12-gauge 28-inch configuration and may vary by variant.

Background

ATA Arms is one of Turkey's largest shotgun exporters, building autoloaders both under its own name and as an OEM for several Western brands; the CY is its no-frills gas-operated hunting autoloader positioned below the inertia-driven Neo.
