ATA Silah Sanayi A.S. · Shotgun · In Production
Also known as: ATA Arms SP, EAA SP Series
Overview
The ATA SP is an over-under, break-action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge and produced by the Turkish manufacturer ATA Arms. Built around a boxlock action with a single selective mechanical trigger and automatic ejectors, it is offered with either a standard steel or a lightweight aluminium-alloy receiver and is fitted with Turkish walnut stocks, a ventilated rib, a fiber-optic front bead and interchangeable choke tubes. Marketed for hunting and clay-target disciplines, the SP is positioned as an affordable alternative to comparable Italian and Belgian over-unders.

Notes
Barrels are rated for up to 3-inch (76mm) 12-gauge shells. The push-button top-tang safety doubles as a barrel selector, with a red dot revealed when set to fire. Imported into the United States by EAA Corporation. Offered with 28-inch (711mm) or 30-inch (762mm) barrels; alloy-receiver versions weigh roughly 2.8 kg while steel-receiver models are nearer 3.2 kg.
Background
ATA Arms grew out of a Turkish gunmaking tradition centred on the city of Istanbul, and its SP over-under became one of the company's export staples, sold in the United States through EAA as a budget-priced sporting and field gun.
