Overview
The AYA No. 2 is a Spanish hammerless sidelock side-by-side double-barrelled shotgun built by Aguirre y Aranzabal of Eibar. Modelled mechanically on the Holland & Holland system, it features a forged steel action with double locking, hardened intercepting safety sears, gold-lined cocking indicators, automatic ejectors, chopper-lump barrels and double triggers with a hinged front trigger. Chambered most commonly in 12 gauge and offered in 16, 20, 28 gauge and .410 bore, it is the most famous and widely sold model in the AYA range, prized as the pre-eminent affordable best-quality sidelock game gun.

Standard barrel length is 28 inches with other lengths available to order; fixed chokes and stock dimensions are specified to customer order. Approximate weight in 12 bore is around 6 3/4 lb. The mechanism mirrors the deluxe AYA No. 1, with the No. 2 carrying simpler English scroll engraving.
Background
Aguirre y Aranzabal was founded in 1917 in Eibar by Nicolas Aranzabal and the Aguirre brothers, and the No. 2 sidelock became the gun that established AYA's international reputation as a maker of affordable best-quality double guns.
