Overview
The B&T APC308 (Advanced Police Carbine 308) is a Swiss-made 7.62x51mm NATO / .308 Winchester gas-piston semi-automatic precision carbine and battle rifle developed by Brügger & Thomet. It scales up the proven APC9/APC556 platform to a full-power cartridge, retaining the APC family's fully ambidextrous controls, hydraulic buffer for reduced felt recoil, and folding-telescoping stock with adjustable cheek riser. Variants are offered with 14.3-inch (363 mm), 16-inch (406 mm), and 18-inch (457 mm / DMR) barrels. The rifle uses standard SR-25-pattern magazines and includes folding ambidextrous non-reciprocating charging handles and a full-length Picatinny top rail.

Background
B&T's APC family began as a 9mm submachine gun for European police, then scaled up through 5.56 NATO, .300 Blackout, and finally to the .308 APC308 - making it one of the few platforms in the world that lets an end user keep the same controls and ergonomics whether shooting a subgun or a full-power battle rifle.
