Overview
The B&T APC40 is a Swiss blowback-operated, closed-bolt submachine gun chambered in .40 S&W, the .40-caliber member of B&T's Advanced Police Carbine (APC) family introduced in 2011. It shares the APC9's modular aluminum receiver, hydraulic buffer, telescoping folding stock, fully ambidextrous controls, Picatinny rails, and a 3-lug muzzle for quick-detachable suppressors, differing from its 9mm and .45 ACP siblings mainly in caliber, bolt mass, and magazine. The .40 S&W chambering offers a balance of terminal energy and controllability for law-enforcement duty use.
