Overview
The Baikal MP-27 is a Russian over-and-under double-barrel shotgun built on a robust boxlock action by the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant. Introduced in 1973 as the IZh-27, it has been produced in the millions for hunting and clay sports, with the two barrels stacked vertically, automatic ejectors, and a single selective trigger letting the shooter pick which barrel fires first. Known for its simple, durable construction and chrome-lined bores, it is one of the most widely exported Russian sporting shotguns.
