Background
Barrett's REC line traces back to the Barrett REC7 - a piston-driven AR-15 originally developed for special operations use. The REC10 scales that DNA up to the 7.62 NATO chassis, giving Barrett a precision semi-auto offering between its short-action REC7 and the .50 BMG M82.
