Overview
The Barrett REC7 DI DMR is a semi-automatic designated marksman rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, built on Barrett's direct-impingement AR-15 platform. The DMR variant features an 18-inch barrel optimized for precision at extended ranges compared to the standard 16-inch carbine models. The rifle is equipped with a Geissele SSA two-stage trigger, 7075 T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers with Cerakote finish, and a free-floating M-LOK handguard. The REC7 DI DMR uses a direct impingement gas system rather than the piston system found on earlier REC7 models.
