Overview
The Bauer 25 Automatic is an American-made stainless steel copy of the FN Baby Browning, a .25 ACP vest-pocket pistol. Produced in Fraser, Michigan from 1972 to 1984, it was one of the first semi-automatic pistols manufactured entirely from stainless steel, using precision-machined 416 stainless investment castings with hand-fitted internal parts. The blowback-operated pistol fed from a six-round detachable box magazine and used integral fixed sights machined into the slide.

Notes
The fire position of the thumb safety doubles as the takedown position; the barrel rotates clockwise roughly 45 degrees to disassemble. Grips were offered in synthetic white pearl (most common), walnut, black pearl, and pink pearl.
Background
Founder Robert Bauer had previously worked for DeSantis Holsters before setting up his Michigan plant to build a stainless-steel update of the legendary Baby Browning; after his death in 1984 the line was rebranded the Fraser-25, and the factory burned to the ground in 1986.
