Overview
The Beretta 82 is a compact blowback-operated, double-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in .32 ACP, part of Beretta's Model 81/82/84/85 family later marketed under the Cheetah name. Introduced in 1976, the Model 82 paired the .32 ACP chambering of the Model 81 with a thinner single-stack magazine and slimmer grips, trading capacity for a more concealable profile. It retained the family's open-top slide, alloy frame and hammer-fired double-action trigger, making it a popular compact carry and backup pistol.
