Beretta A400 L Field

Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta · Shotgun · In Production · 2023

Also known as: A400 L, A400 Lusso Field

Overview

The Beretta A400 L Field is a premium 12-gauge gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun for upland and field hunting, built on Beretta's A400 platform with the fast-cycling B-Link gas operating system. It uses a Steelium Plus barrel with an elongated triple forcing cone (about 320 mm) for a smoother shot pattern, and pairs a lightweight aluminum-alloy receiver, nickel-plated and finely engraved with scroll and floral motifs, with a select walnut stock featuring an enlarged checkering area and an ambidextrous palm swell. The 'L' line is the dressed-up, higher-grade version of the field A400, aimed at hunters wanting the platform's soft-shooting, quick-cycling action in a more refined package.

Background

Beretta markets the A400 series' B-Link gas system as one of the fastest-cycling semi-automatic shotgun actions ever made, and the 'L' (Lusso, Italian for luxury) line takes that soft-shooting field gun and dresses it up with a hand-engraved, nickel-plated receiver aimed at hunters who want performance and heirloom looks in one package.
