Bergara B-14R

Also known as: B-14R, B14R, B-14R Trainer
Overview
The Bergara B-14R is a .22 LR bolt-action rifle introduced in 2020 and purpose-built as a precision rimfire trainer. Its defining feature is that it duplicates the footprint and ergonomics of a full-size centerfire precision rifle: the action shares the same dimensions and Remington 700 footprint as Bergara's centerfire B-14 series, the rifle feeds from a 10-round single-stack magazine built to the dimensions of a standard short-action AICS magazine, and it wears the same HMR-style stock. This lets competitive and recreational shooters train trigger control, position and follow-through with cheap, low-recoil .22 LR ammunition while handling a rifle that feels identical to their centerfire match guns. Offered with either a heavy 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel or a lighter carbon-fiber-wrapped barrel, the B-14R features a floating bolt-head design for reliable rimfire feeding, a threaded muzzle, and an adjustable trigger.

Notes
Specifications reflect the 18 in (457mm) steel-barrel B-14R: ~9.2 lb (4173g), ~38 in (965mm) overall length with spacers. Carbon-fiber variant is lighter at ~8.1-8.3 lb. 1:16 twist, 6 grooves, 1/2x28 threaded muzzle with protector. 10-round single-stack AICS-pattern magazine. Background
The B-14R solved a longstanding problem for precision rifle competitors: practicing fundamentals without burning expensive centerfire ammunition. By making a .22 LR that fits the same chassis, magazines and ergonomics as a match rifle, Bergara let shooters train cheaply on the exact platform they would compete with.
