Black Aces Pro Series Bullpup (Semi-Auto)

Black Aces Tactical · Shotgun · In Production · 2020

Also known as: FD12, Pro Bullpup FD12, BATBPB

Overview

The Black Aces Pro Series Bullpup is a magazine-fed, gas-operated semi-automatic 12 gauge bullpup shotgun (also marketed as the FD12). The bullpup layout packs a full 18.5-inch barrel into a 28-inch overall length, making it one of the most compact full-power 12 gauge platforms available. It feeds from detachable box magazines and is compatible with the company's 5-round sticks as well as 1919-pattern magazines and drums. The receiver wears a top Picatinny rail for optics or irons, with additional rail real estate at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions on the forend for lights, slings, and a forward grip (one is included). A barrel shroud, ambidextrous safety, magazine release, and charging handle round out the package, and the gas system is tuned to cycle both light target loads and heavy defensive buckshot.

Background

Black Aces Tactical brought genuinely affordable magazine-fed bullpup shotguns to the US market, undercutting established imports like the Kel-Tec KSG and Panzer BP-12 by hundreds of dollars while accepting the ubiquitous 1919-pattern magazines and drums.
