Black Aces Pro Series L (Lever 12)

Black Aces Tactical · Shotgun · In Production · 2020

Also known as: Lever 12, Pro Series L, SMAX-L, BATPSLW

Overview

The Black Aces Pro Series L (marketed as the Lever 12) is a modern lever-action 12 gauge shotgun reminiscent of the classic Winchester Model 1887. It pairs an 18.5-inch barrel with a 39-inch overall length, a tubular 5+1 magazine, and a lightweight aluminum receiver that keeps weight to roughly 6.4 lb. The enlarged loop lever cycles 2.75-inch and 3-inch shells, and the barrel accepts Benelli Mobil-style choke tubes. Because it is lever-operated it is legal in all 50 states. The L family spans synthetic and walnut furniture in black and silver receiver finishes, plus a Tactical version with rails and upgraded furniture.

The Pro Series L revived the lever-action shotgun for the modern tactical market, echoing the lever guns of the Old West while feeding 3-inch magnum 12 gauge shells; American Rifleman featured it as a Gun of the Week.
