Blaser F16
Blaser Jagdwaffen GmbH · Shotgun · In Production · 2016
Also known as: F16, Blaser F16 Sporting, Blaser F16 Game
Overview
The Blaser F16 is a German-engineered over/under shotgun featuring the lowest receiver height (60mm) of any current production O/U, achieved through an innovative bifurcated underlug locking system. This low-profile design lowers the center of gravity and places the shooter's eye closer to the bore axis for more natural pointing and reduced felt recoil. The F16 features a mechanical single selective trigger with barrel selector, the EBS (Ejection Ball System) for reduced closing resistance, and the IBS (Inertia Block System) that prevents doubling or fan-firing. The TriBore barrel profile with lengthened forcing cones reduces pellet deformation for tighter patterns. Balancer weights in the buttstock and under the forend allow fine-tuning of balance for individual preference. Available in Game and Sporting configurations with 28, 30, or 32-inch barrels in 12 and 20 gauge.

Notes
The F16 is positioned as Blaser's mid-range O/U, below the F3. Receiver height of 60mm is the lowest in current O/U production. Weight: ~3100g (Game 12ga) to ~3270g (Sporting 12ga). Barrel lengths: 710mm (28"), 760mm (30"), 810mm (32"). Chamber: 76mm (3"). Trigger pull: 1650g (~16.2N). Turkish walnut stock with Fusion Lasergrain construction. LOP: 375mm. The Heritage and Grand Luxe variants feature upgraded wood and engraving. The Intuition models are designed for women shooters with adjusted stock dimensions.
Background
The Blaser F16's 60mm receiver height set a new benchmark for low-profile O/U design when introduced in 2016. The bifurcated underlug - borrowed from the company's flagship F3 - allows the barrels to sit lower in the action than any competing design, giving shooters a mechanical advantage in muzzle control that has made the F16 a favorite on European sporting clays courses.
