Overview
The Browning X-Bolt Western Hunter is a bolt-action hunting rifle built on Browning's X-Bolt platform and tailored for open-country Western big-game hunting. It pairs a short or long 60-degree three-lug bolt action with an A-TACS AU camouflage composite stock featuring an adjustable comb, a threaded sporter barrel, and a flush-fit detachable rotary magazine. Chambered in 6.5 PRC, it delivers flat-shooting long-range performance with the manageable recoil that made the cartridge popular with mountain and plains hunters.

Notes
The 6.5 PRC configuration uses a 24-inch barrel with a 1:7-inch twist, a 44-inch overall length, a 3-round magazine, and an M13x0.75 threaded muzzle. The platform was succeeded by the X-Bolt 2 Western Hunter line.
Background
The Western Hunter trim was Browning's answer to the rise of long-range Western hunting cartridges such as 6.5 PRC and 6.8 Western, packaging an adjustable-comb camo stock and threaded barrel onto the proven X-Bolt action.
