Also known as: SPR300, SPR300 PRO

Overview

The B&T SPR300 is a Swiss integrally suppressed bolt-action precision rifle chambered in .300 AAC Blackout, designed from the ground up for covert operations requiring near-silent engagement capability. Featuring a Haenel cold hammer-forged barrel of just 248mm mated to an integral suppressor, the SPR300 achieves sound levels of just 121-123 dB with subsonic ammunition, making it one of the quietest centerfire rifles available. The three-lug bolt with Timney single-stage trigger delivers sub-MOA accuracy at 100 yards, while the folding adjustable stock and takedown capability allow the rifle to be transported in a compact case and reassembled with no perceivable point-of-impact shift.

Notes

The SPR300 PRO variant incorporates updates including an extended top rail designed to accept clip-on night vision devices, thermal imagers, and prismatic sights. The Timney Hunter Elite trigger is adjustable from 1.5 lbs. The aircraft-grade aluminum receiver is hard anodized for durability while keeping weight low. The integral suppressor is specifically tuned for .300 BLK subsonic loads (typically 220-grain projectiles at approximately 312 m/s), though supersonic loads can also be fired. The rifle's effective engagement range of approximately 150 meters with subsonic ammunition reflects the ballistic limitations of the heavy, slow-moving projectiles rather than any mechanical limitation of the platform. The sound level of 121-123 dB is comparable to a car door closing.

Background

The SPR300 is often described as achieving 'Hollywood quiet' sound levels, a reference to the unrealistically silent suppressed firearms depicted in films. Unlike most movie props, the SPR300 actually delivers on that promise, with its 121 dB report being barely louder than a normal conversation and well below the threshold that would require hearing protection for bystanders.
