Bushmaster BOAR

Bushmaster Firearms International · Rifle · In Production · 2023

Overview

The Bushmaster BOAR is a .450 Bushmaster AR-15-pattern hunting rifle purpose-built for big game across North America, particularly in states that restrict deer hunting to straight-wall rifle cartridges. It uses a 20-inch 1:24-twist barrel, a free-float BFI 15-inch M-LOK handguard, a DM2S two-stage trigger, and a Magpul UBR Gen2 collapsible stock, feeding from a 5-round single-stack .450 magazine. It joins Bushmaster's longstanding .450 lineage with a modern, hunting-focused build.

Notes

MSRP approximately $1,184. Chambered in .450 Bushmaster. Distinct from the legacy .450 Bushmaster XM-15 E2S entry; the BOAR is a modern free-float, Magpul-equipped hunting configuration.

Background

Named for the wild hogs and big game it was built to drop, the BOAR leans into the .450 Bushmaster's reputation as a brush-country 'thumper' - a hard-hitting straight-wall cartridge that turned the AR-15 into a legal and lethal deer rifle across the American Midwest.
