Overview
The Bushmaster XM-15 SquareDrop is a compact AR pistol chambered in .300 AAC Blackout (also offered in 5.56 NATO) built around Advanced Armament Corporation's SquareDrop modular free-float attachment system. It features a 4150 chrome-moly FNC-treated barrel in 7-, 9-, or 10-inch lengths, an SB Tactical arm brace, an ALG Defense fire control group, an AAC Blackout flash hider, and a Hogue overmolded grip. The SquareDrop rail uses a proprietary geometric attachment pattern for mounting accessories.

Background
The SquareDrop name comes from AAC's squared-off rail attachment lugs, a short-lived alternative to KeyMod and M-LOK; the pistol rode the late-2010s wave of pistol-brace AR builds that exploded in popularity as a workaround to short-barreled-rifle NFA regulations.
