Also known as: CDX-30 TAC, Cadex CDX30-TAC, Cadex Tactical
Overview
The Cadex CDX-30 TAC is a bolt-action precision sniper rifle produced by Cadex Defence of Quebec, Canada, positioned as a cost-efficient tactical rifle for law enforcement and civilian long-range shooters. Built around the CDX-30 action with a 60-degree lift, three-lug bolt featuring radial fluting and a Sako-style extractor, it is chambered in .308 Winchester, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, or 6.5 PRC. The rifle uses a match-grade Bartlein single-point-cut barrel with 5R Mil-Spec rifling in a Cadex 1.300-inch straight-taper fluted profile, threaded 5/8x24 to accept the included MX1 muzzle brake or a sound suppressor. The aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum chassis integrates a V-shaped bedding system that eliminates movement between the action and chassis without traditional bedding, and carries a 20-MOA full-length top rail for maximum optic elevation. A tool-free adjustable stock provides length-of-pull, cheek-piece, and recoil-pad adjustment, and the rifle feeds from 10-round AICS-pattern detachable magazines (7 rounds in 6.5 PRC). The DX2 Evo trigger is selectable between single and double stage with a pull weight adjustable from 1.5 to 2.5 pounds.

Notes
The CDX-30 TAC is marketed as a lower-cost entry into the Cadex precision line, delivering the accuracy and reliability of the higher-end CDX rifles in a more affordable package. Barrel lengths of 20, 24, and 26 inches are offered depending on caliber, with corresponding overall lengths of roughly 44 to 48 inches and weights of 12.5 to 13.1 pounds. The .308 Win chambering uses a 1:11.25 twist as standard with 1:10 available on request. Cadex notes that final weight varies significantly by configuration and caliber.
Background
The CDX-30 TAC anchors the accessible end of Cadex Defence's precision rifle family, bringing the Canadian maker's chassis engineering and Bartlein-barreled accuracy to police marksman units and competitive shooters who cannot justify the cost of the flagship Kraken or CR series. Its .308 Winchester chambering keeps it grounded as a versatile, ammunition-friendly tactical platform.
