Cadex Defence CDX-MC Kraken
Cadex Defence · Sniper Rifle · In Production · 2017
Also known as: CDX-MC Kraken, Kraken
Overview
The Cadex Defence CDX-MC Kraken is a multi-caliber long-range precision bolt-action rifle featuring a patented barrel change system that allows rapid conversion between calibers ranging from 6mm Creedmoor to .338 Lapua Magnum. The innovative breech-side barrel removal system uses a special tool to unscrew and torque barrels from the breech end, achieving the lowest shift of point of impact between takedown and reassembly of any multi-caliber system on the market. A single screw secures the chassis detachable base for fast conversion between short and long action calibers. Built with Cadex's 5R mil-spec match-grade single point-cut rifled barrels with 1.238-inch heavy straight taper profiles, the Kraken delivers sub-half-MOA accuracy across all caliber configurations. The aluminum chassis features a fully adjustable stock with folding capability, ARCA rail forend, and compatibility with standard AICS-pattern magazines.

Background
Named after the legendary sea monster of Scandinavian mythology, the Kraken's multi-caliber system represents one of the most versatile precision rifle platforms ever produced. Its patented breech-side barrel change achieves near-zero shift in point of impact, a feat previously thought impossible in a field-convertible system.
