Caesar Guerini Invictus III Ascent

Also known as: Invictus III Ascent
Overview
The Caesar Guerini Invictus III Ascent is an Italian 12-gauge over-and-under break-action competition shotgun built in Brescia. It combines the maker's proprietary Invictus locking system, whose replaceable modular locking surfaces are claimed to extend barrel-to-action durability by 200 to 300 percent over a conventional double gun, with the Ascent configuration's 10mm high fixed rib and Monte Carlo stock for both gun-down and pre-mounted shooting. The 32-inch barreled gun weighs about 8 pounds 9 ounces and features a hand-polished coin-finished receiver protected by Invisalloy coating, a Turkish Circassian walnut stock with hand-rubbed oil finish, six MAXIS competition chokes and the fully adjustable DPS trigger.

Background
Caesar Guerini's Invictus System uses modular, replaceable locking blocks that let a high-volume competition shooter tighten a gun that would otherwise loosen after tens of thousands of rounds, effectively giving the action a rebuildable heart rather than retiring the gun.
