The Caracal CAR 817 DMR is a designated marksman rifle variant of the CAR 817 platform, designed to bridge the gap between a standard service rifle and a dedicated sniper system. Chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO, it features a precision-grade barrel, fully adjustable stock with cheekpiece and monopod, and a two-stage trigger for enhanced accuracy. The DMR retains the CAR 817's short-stroke piston system with adjustable gas regulator for suppressed, normal, and heavy-use settings.
