Overview
The CBJ-MS is a Swedish selective-fire personal defense weapon developed by CBJ Tech AB and first shown in 2000. Chambered for the proprietary 6.5x25mm CBJ cartridge, which drives a saboted tungsten kinetic penetrator capable of defeating body armor, it is a blowback-operated, modular weapon broadly based on the layout of the Israeli Uzi. The CBJ-MS can fire from an open or closed bolt via interchangeable bolt groups, accepts 20-, 30-, or 100-round magazines, and can be converted to fire standard 9x19mm Parabellum.

Notes
The 6.5x25mm CBJ round can be retrofitted to many existing 9mm weapons via barrel and magazine changes. Saab Bofors Dynamics was involved in early production but left the project after the British declined to procure the weapon.

The CBJ-MS designation stands for Carl Bertil Johansson's Modular System, named after its designer. Its 6.5x25mm cartridge fires a 4mm tungsten penetrator inside a sabot, giving a sub-caliber projectile capable of punching through NATO and CRISAT body armor at PDW ranges while remaining usable from a 9mm-sized magazine well.
