Overview

The Century Arms VSKA is a 100% American-made AKM-pattern rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm, designed and built in-house by Century Arms at its Vermont facility. It replaced the earlier RAS47 in Century's lineup. The VSKA upgrades key wear components with S7 tool-steel - notably the bolt, carrier, and front trunnion - for extended service life. It features a 16.25-inch chrome-moly barrel, RAK-1 enhanced trigger, side optic rail, and bolt hold-open safety.

Background

The VSKA marked Century Arms' transition from importer/assembler to genuine American AK manufacturer, using heat-treated S7 tool steel for the highest-stress components - a direct response to the durability criticisms that had dogged earlier Century builds.
