Overview
The Charter Arms Mag Pug .41 Magnum is a compact double-action/single-action revolver chambered in the hard-hitting .41 Remington Magnum, manufactured by Charter Arms of Shelton, Connecticut. Built on the company's enlarged stainless steel frame with a five-round fluted cylinder, it pairs a 2.5-inch full-underlug barrel with a full-size rubber grip to help tame the substantial recoil of the big-bore cartridge in such a lightweight package. Marketed as the only .41-caliber concealed-carry revolver in current production, the Mag Pug offers a fixed serrated front blade and milled square-notch rear sight, a transfer-bar safety, and an exposed serrated spur hammer allowing both long double-action pulls and crisp single-action shots. Its matte stainless steel construction resists corrosion and holstering wear, making it a purpose-built defensive revolver for shooters who want maximum terminal authority from a small, snub-nosed platform.

Background
Founded in 1964 by Douglas McClenahan, Charter Arms built its reputation on affordable, compact defensive revolvers such as the Undercover and the .44 Special Bulldog. The .41 Magnum Mag Pug extended that snub-nosed big-bore tradition into an even more potent chambering, giving concealed-carry shooters a pocketable revolver firing a cartridge more often associated with full-size hunting and duty guns.
