Also known as: Little Badger Deluxe

Overview

The Chiappa Little Badger Deluxe is an upgraded version of the Little Badger ultralight single-shot folding survival rifle, chambered primarily in .22 LR (and also offered in .22 WMR and .17 HMR). It retains the skeletonized folding steel frame that collapses for backpack carry, but adds an aluminum forend fitted with additional Picatinny rails and adjustable aperture sights, making it easier to mount optics and accessories than the bare base model. Its hammer-fired single-shot action, storage compartment in the stock, and light weight make it a popular trail, camp, and survival gun.

Notes

The 'Deluxe' upgrade over the standard Little Badger centers on an aluminum forend/handguard with extra Picatinny rail sections and improved iron sights. Sold in the US under model numbers in the Chiappa 500-series.

Background

The Little Badger's skeletonized frame folds nearly in half, letting the whole rifle disappear into a daypack - Chiappa markets the Badger line as pack guns for hikers, pilots, and preppers who want a rifle that weighs about as much as a loaded canteen.
