Christensen Arms Ridgeline FFT
Christensen Arms · Sniper Rifle · In Production · 2021
Also known as: Ridgeline FFT, CA Ridgeline FFT
Overview
The Christensen Arms Ridgeline FFT is an ultralight bolt-action hunting rifle that pushes the boundaries of weight reduction through its proprietary Flash Forged Technology (FFT) stock -- the lightest stock Christensen Arms has ever produced. Weighing just 5.4 pounds in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 20-inch barrel, the Ridgeline FFT is designed for mountain hunters who measure every ounce of their pack weight but refuse to compromise on accuracy. The 416R stainless steel barrel is button-rifled, hand-lapped, and wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber, then free-floated and match-chambered to deliver Christensen's guaranteed sub-MOA accuracy. The precision-machined stainless steel action is spot-bedded into the FFT stock for a consistent, repeatable fit. A removable stainless steel side-baffle muzzle brake comes standard with 5/8-24 threading, and a TriggerTech trigger ensures a clean, consistent shot break. The FFT stock itself achieves its remarkable strength-to-weight ratio through a proprietary manufacturing process that creates a structure strong enough to withstand the demanding conditions of backcountry hunting while remaining exceptionally light.

Notes
Christensen Arms was founded in 1995 in Gunnison, Utah and pioneered the use of carbon-fiber-wrapped barrels in production rifles. The FFT (Flash Forged Technology) stock uses a proprietary manufacturing process distinct from traditional carbon fiber layup methods. The Ridgeline FFT Titanium variant adds a titanium action for even further weight savings. Standard barrel threading is 5/8-24 with 1/2-28 available for certain calibers. The rifle is available in numerous chamberings beyond the three listed.
Background
Christensen Arms pioneered the use of carbon-fiber-wrapped barrels in production rifles in the 1990s, and the Ridgeline FFT represents the culmination of that technology. At 5.4 pounds, it defied the long-held assumption that sub-MOA accuracy required substantial rifle weight, proving that modern materials science could deliver both extreme lightness and precision.
