Overview
The Cimarron 1847 Walker is a faithful reproduction of the legendary Colt Walker single-action revolver, originally designed in 1847 by Captain Samuel Hamilton Walker of the Texas Rangers in collaboration with Samuel Colt. Cimarron's reproduction is manufactured in Italy by Uberti with a 9-inch barrel and is offered both as a cap-and-ball percussion piece and, with a drop-in conversion cylinder, as a six-shot centerfire chambered in .45 Colt. At over four pounds it remains one of the largest and most powerful percussion-era handgun designs ever produced.

Background
The original Colt Walker was the most powerful black-powder repeating handgun made until the introduction of the .357 Magnum in 1935, and its commercial success rescued Samuel Colt's bankrupt firearms business and funded the founding of the Colt factory in Hartford.
