Overview
The Cimarron 1876 NWMP Carbine is a modern reproduction carbine that recreates the Winchester Model 1876 lever-action carbine issued to the Canadian North-West Mounted Police. Built for Cimarron Firearms by A. Uberti of Italy, it chambers the powerful .45-75 Winchester (and .45-60 Winchester) black-powder cartridge, feeds from an eight-round tubular magazine, and carries a 22-inch round barrel, saddle ring, full-length walnut forend, tangent rear sight, and the historic NWMP stamping in the stock.

Background
The scarlet-clad riders of Canada's North-West Mounted Police carried the .45-75 Winchester Model 1876 carbine across the frontier from 1878 into the early twentieth century, and the original saddle-ring carbines saw service through the North-West Rebellion of 1885.
