Overview
The CMMG Dissent Mk4 is a bufferless AR-15 pattern firearm built around CMMG's patented Compact Action operating system, which eliminates the traditional buffer tube and recoil spring assembly from the lower receiver. Instead, dual guide rods and springs housed within the upper receiver cycle the action, freeing the rear of the rifle to accept folding stocks, PDW braces, or no stock at all while remaining fully functional. The Mk4 is the small-frame (AR-15) Dissent chambered standard in 5.56x45mm NATO, with 5.7x28mm and .300 Blackout also offered, in barrel lengths from a 6.5-inch pistol up to a 16.1-inch rifle. It features a forward non-reciprocating side charging handle, an adjustable gas block for tuning, a TriggerTech AR-D two-stage trigger developed jointly with CMMG, and 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with Cerakote finish. The rifle configuration weighs around 6.7 pounds and folds to roughly 26 inches, making the Dissent Mk4 one of the most compact full-power AR carbines available.
