CMMG Dissent Mk47

CMMG Inc. · Rifle · In Production · 2024

Overview

The CMMG Dissent Mk47 brings 7.62x39mm and AK-magazine compatibility to CMMG's bufferless Compact Action platform. Combining the AK-pattern magazine well and chambering of the original Mk47 with the buffer-tube-free Dissent operating system, the Mk47 uses PowerBolt Technology - a .308-sized bolt and shortened carrier - cycled by dual guide rods and springs in the upper receiver rather than a conventional buffer. This allows the rifle to wear a true side-folding stock with adjustable length of pull and cheek riser while feeding the hard-hitting 7.62x39 round from standard AK magazines. Offered in 12.5-inch, 14.3-inch pinned-and-welded, and 16.1-inch barrel lengths, the Dissent Mk47 features a forward non-reciprocating charging handle, adjustable gas system, M-LOK free-float handguard with top Picatinny rail, and Cerakote-finished 7075-T6 receivers. The 16.1-inch rifle weighs roughly 7.7 pounds and folds to about 28 inches.

Notes

MSRP approximately $2,349. Introduced around 2024, the Dissent Mk47 merges the AK-mag-fed Mk47 receiver with the bufferless Dissent action - notable because the larger 7.62x39 bolt and AK magazine geometry made this one of the more challenging Dissent variants to engineer. Uses PowerBolt Technology with a .308-sized bolt.

Background

CMMG promoted the Dissent Mk47 with the tagline 'A New Caliber Goes Bufferless,' marking the first time the AK-magazine-fed Mk47 was offered without a traditional buffer tube.
