Overview
The POF CW-39 is a Pakistani select-fire assault rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm, developed by Pakistan Ordnance Factories as part of its BW20 family of roller-delayed blowback weapons. Unveiled as a prototype in 2022, it pairs a Heckler & Koch G3-style roller-delayed blowback action with a stamped sheet-metal receiver and feeds from standard AK magazines, letting POF build it on its existing G3 production tooling. It is intended as a potential domestic replacement for the Chinese Type 56 (AK) rifles long used in Pakistani service.
