Ceska Zbrojovka · Rifle · Discontinued · 1998

Also known as: CZ 550 Magnum Safari, CZ-USA 550 Safari Magnum

Overview

The CZ 550 Safari Magnum is a bolt-action dangerous-game rifle built on a full-length magnum Mauser-type action with controlled-round feed and a large claw extractor. Chambered for the .375 H&H Magnum and other big-bore cartridges such as the .416 Rigby, .458 Winchester Magnum and .458 Lott, it pairs a 25-inch hammer-forged barrel with express iron sights and a single set trigger. Designed for professional hunters and safari use, it delivers the reliability of a classic Mauser system in a heavy-recoiling package intended for the largest game.
