Overview
The Dan-Inject IM is a Danish CO2-powered veterinary tranquilizer dart rifle built for the remote immobilization of wildlife, zoo animals, and livestock. Rather than a lethal firearm, it fires a self-injecting projectile syringe (dart) propelled by adjustable compressed CO2, letting a marksman deliver anaesthetic or medication to an animal from a distance. It is the longer-barrelled model in the Dan-Inject range, using an 11mm rifled barrel of roughly 710mm to extend accurate reach out to about 60m, and it can also be fitted with a 13mm barrel for larger dart volumes. An easily read shrouded manometer set into the stock lets the operator check propulsion pressure and the target at the same time.

Propulsion pressure is manually adjustable (silent, up to roughly 16 bar) and the rifle ships zeroed with pressure adjustment tables so the same dart can be placed accurately from a few metres out to about 60m. A single CO2 charge (a 74g cartridge, or a smaller 16g bottle with an adaptor) supports multiple shots. It is a remote drug-delivery injection system, not a conventional firearm, and in most jurisdictions is regulated as veterinary/animal-capture equipment.
