Overview

The DPMS Oracle is an entry-level, direct-impingement gas-operated AR-15 carbine chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. Introduced as a budget-friendly platform, it pairs a 16-inch chrome-moly barrel with a flat-top upper receiver, polymer handguard, A2 flash hider, and a six-position collapsible carbine stock. Designed for the entry-level market, the Oracle accepts both 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington and serves as a popular starting point for sport shooting and home defense.

Notes

The original Oracle uses a polymer 'Glacier Guard' handguard and 1:9 twist barrel; the later Oracle II DP-15 adds a 13.5-inch M-LOK free-float rail and a 1:7 twist barrel.
