Overview

The Echasa GZ is a Spanish blowback-operated, single-action semi-automatic pocket pistol chambered in .32 ACP. Manufactured in Eibar by Echave, Arizmendi y Cia (Echasa), it was a compact carry pistol styled after the Walther PPK and was offered in .22, .25, .32, and .380 chamberings. The GZ design was acquired by Echasa around 1962 and produced only briefly until manufacture ceased in May 1964.

Background

Echave, Arizmendi y Cia was one of the many small Eibar gunmakers in the Basque Country of Spain that built inexpensive Browning-pattern pocket pistols throughout the early-to-mid 20th century.
