Overview
The Ed Brown 1776 Commemorative Edition is a hand-built, limited-edition Government-size 1911 chambered in .45 ACP, released in 2026 to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence. Built on a single-stack Government frame with a 5-inch slide and barrel, it features 25 LPI checkering, distinctive American-flag slide serrations, a gold bead front sight, hand-polished Micarta burl grips, and commemorative '250 Years of Freedom 1776-2026' engraving. As with all Ed Brown pistols it is assembled and fitted by hand to custom-shop tolerances.
