Also known as: Ed Brown EVO-E9, EVO-E9-LW

Overview

The Ed Brown EVO is a single-action, semi-automatic pistol built on the 1911 platform by American custom gunmaker Ed Brown Products. Chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, it pairs a flush-fit bull barrel with a recessed crown, an external extractor, custom-cut slide serrations and Ed Brown's signature snakeskin checkering. Variants such as the optics-ready EVO-E9-LW mount a red dot directly to the slide, while retaining the crisp single-action trigger and grip-and-thumb safety arrangement of the traditional 1911.

Background

Ed Brown Products began in 1968 making 1911 parts in a small Missouri shop before growing into one of America's most respected custom 1911 manufacturers; the EVO represents the company's move to integrate modern red-dot optics into its classic single-action platform.
