Overview
The Ed Brown Special Forces Commander SOCOM is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP, built on the classic single-stack 1911 platform by Ed Brown Products. A Commander-length configuration of the Special Forces SOCOM line introduced in 2019, it pairs a 4.25-inch Commander slide with a full-size government frame carrying an integral accessory light rail. The pistol ships optics-ready with a Trijicon RMRcc red-dot sight backed by an Ed Brown co-witness rear sight and an AmeriGlo orange front, and its match-grade, suppressor-ready barrel makes it well suited to a weapon-mounted light and sound suppressor. Distinctive touches include the exclusive Chainlink III texturing on the front strap and mainspring housing, American-flag rear slide serrations, square-cut front cocking serrations, a Chen Gen2 magwell, and VZ Alien grips. Finished in a two-tone Flat Dark Earth and black Gen4 treatment, it is a premium duty-and-defense oriented 1911 aimed at the professional and enthusiast market.
