Overview
The F-1 Firearms FDR-15 is the brand's forged, mil-spec entry-tier rifle, bringing F-1's tight tolerances and match-grade barrels to a more affordable price point than the billet skeletonized BDR/UDR lines. It uses a forged 7075-T6511 mil-spec FDR-15 receiver set with a 16-inch match-grade barrel (black-nitride finish, 1:8 twist, .223 Wylde) capable of sub-MOA accuracy, an S7M/C7M free-float M-LOK handguard, a nickel-boron Durabolt bolt carrier group, a forward assist and dust cover, and standard A2 or F-1 compensating muzzle devices. Beyond the standard 5.56/.223 Wylde, the FDR-15 has been offered in .300 Blackout, 7.62x39mm, and .224 Valkyrie, and in distressed Patriot Series finishes. It is now marketed under the Watchtower Firearms umbrella.

Empty weight roughly 6.4 lb (~2,900 g) depending on barrel and handguard. The FDR-15 is the most affordable F-1 / Watchtower rifle, with street prices frequently $500-$700 for the base 5.56/.223 Wylde model versus a ~$1,200 MSRP. Available with various handguard lengths (S7M 13.7", C7M 12.75") and muzzle devices (A2 flash hider, F-1 Slay-AR / Flat-Face / Angle-Face compensators). Patriot Series adds distressed FDE or grey cerakote finishes.
Background
The forged FDR-15 was F-1 Firearms' answer to shooters who wanted the brand's name and barrel quality without the premium of a fully machined billet skeletonized receiver, and it became a value standout after F-1 joined the Watchtower Firearms family.
