Overview

The Fabarm Elos D2 is an Italian over-and-under break-action hunting shotgun offered in 12, 20 and 28 gauge. Built on a lightweight Ergal 55 aluminum-alloy receiver with a nickel-plated finish, it uses Fabarm's proprietary TRIBORE HP over-bored and tapered barrels with interchangeable INNER HP flush choke tubes, a 6mm ventilated top rib, a single selective trigger and a semi-deluxe hand-oiled Turkish walnut stock. Positioned as a field/upland game gun, its alloy frame keeps carry weight around 2.8 kg in the 12-gauge configuration.

Manufacturer lists 28-inch (711 mm) barrels as standard, with 12- and 20-gauge chambered for 3-inch shells and the 28 gauge for 2 3/4-inch shells. Ships with the INTEGRALE hard case and five INNER HP choke tubes; proof tested to 1630 bar. Twelve-gauge catalogue weight ranges roughly 6 lb 1 oz to 6 lb 8 oz.

Background

The Elos D2 is the hunting-line sibling of Fabarm's Elos competition guns, carrying the same TRIBORE HP barrel technology into a light alloy-framed field gun aimed at upland and driven-game shooters.
