Overview

The Fabarm SDASS Tactical (Self Defense and Sporting Shotgun) is a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun made by FABARM of Italy, chambered for 3-inch shells. It uses FABARM's signature Tribore over-bored, tapered barrel paired with twin action bars, ghost-ring sights, and an integral Picatinny rail. In the United States it was imported and sold by Heckler & Koch as the FP6 after H&K ended its association with Benelli in the late 1990s.

Notes

The base SDASS line remains in production; the H&K FP6 import to the US ended around 2003. Barrel options included 14-inch (NFA), 20-inch, and 24-inch. The base SDASS was later succeeded by the STF/12.

Background

Sold in the United States by Heckler & Koch as the FP6, the SDASS came out of H&K's late-1990s split from Benelli, when it replaced its shotgun line with Italian FABARM models; its signature was FABARM's Tribore tapered, over-bored barrel.
