Overview

The FAIR Iside Vintage is an Italian side-by-side double-barrel break-action shotgun built by Fabbrica Armi Isidoro Rizzini for hunting and sporting use. Chambered in 20 gauge with a 76mm (3 inch) chamber, it revives a classic external-hammer configuration on the modern lightweight Iside boxlock-derived action with demibloc-jointed barrels. It uses a double trigger, manual extractors, the interchangeable TC XP50 choke system, a colour case-hardened action and a fine laser-checkered walnut stock, combining vintage styling with contemporary construction.

Notes

Offered in 20 gauge with barrel lengths of 68, 71 and 76 cm (26 3/4, 28 and 30 in) and a 76mm chamber. Weight is approximately 2.8-3.0 kg. The Vintage sits in the Iside side-by-side family alongside the standard Iside and the Iside Prestige; unlike those internal-hammer models it features exposed external cocking hammers for a traditional appearance.

Background

The Iside Vintage answers the modern hunter's taste for nostalgia by putting external cocking hammers back on a contemporary lightweight action - a nod to the exposed-hammer doubles that were standard before the boxlock and sidelock designs of the late 19th century hid the hammers inside.
